Wednesday Open Membership Game 12 August 2026

Wow congratulations to Ruth/Harvey and Chris/Ron for the first place finishes! Well done. Lesley/Carole and Susan/Nancy were first second. Clair/Carolyn and Paul/Jack were first in the C strat. Guil/Bob, Jim/Carole and Sharon/Gary all earned points in the C strat.

Tuesday 11 August 2026

We had 4 full tables in our lesson and Pupil game today. The lesson was on takeout and negative doubles. Next week's lesson will be on the Big Double.

The winners today were Carol Lahan and Sara Frucht with 60.19% followed closely by Barbara McAdoo and Patti Andrews with 59.26%. Carol is a new member and Sara is a visitor with Martha. We are just gracious hosts that we gave them a victory! Well done, we look forward to not being quite so gracious in the future. see you all next week if you can make it. ---Carl

Thursday NAP Open Game 6 August 2026

I apologize for the mixup on our 9 Table Rover Mitchell game today. For some reason this Rover Mitchell is not standard and EW pairs 6 and 9 had an abnormal movement which we did not catch until too late. Because of this Carl and I took the hit and only played 7 rounds to let others play at least 24 boards. Please check the results carefully to make sure I corrected the movement errors properly.

Anyway congratulations to Phil/Steve and Carl/Skip for the first place finishes and Ed/Jim and donna/Peter for Second place finishes. Toni/Colette and Anne/Louise also placed in the C strat.

Wednesday Open NAP game 5 August 2026

Congratulations to our NAP placement members - Bob/Dave and Paul/Jack finished first in the A strat and Nancy/Nancy and Lisa/Barbara were first in the B strat. Other C strat players who qualified to play in our NE regional to represent NE in the 3/27 National includes Yuni/Pat and Guil/Bob.

Tuesday 4 August 2026

We had 4.5 tables for our lesson on Competitive bidding and 4 tables for our pupil game. Next week we will have a lesson on doubles, back by popular demand.

The winners today were Ann and Christopher (Welcome back Christopher!) with a whopping 73.15%. Second place went to Elizabeth and Jean with a very nice 59.26%, closely followed by Melissa and Dianne with 56.48%. See you next week! ---Carl
