Thursday 25 June 2026

Today Joe P provided us with a box of individually packaged chips!  Thank you Joe!.  Today we had a very noisy 11 tables full game of 3 rounds comprising 27 hands and 33 sets of boards.  Perhaps please instead of being quiet, bring earplugs for those whom the noise bothers or turn down your hearing aides.  5 or 6 tables were finished and 1 or 2 had not finished the first hand.  Please play in tempo.  I've had multiple requests to set a clock. When you finish the hands please do not kibbittz.  Just put the cards in the boards and move along, that actually might help with the noise.  Even those who complained of the noise at other times were the noisiest in the room.   The room echoes a lot, and the ACs are difficult to hear over so our voices get louder.  Its very difficult to control the noise especially with the winds in the music rooms!

The top pair overall were in the NS were Darrell and Brent with a 63%.  The top couple in NS were Ed and Nick (57%) followed very closely by MaryLynn and Claire with a 55%.   NS was tightly group with 4 pair in the 50-54%, and similarly EW was tightly grouped with 5 pair between 53 and 55%.

Next week Carl or Skip will be running the show.  Please sign up on line at RSVP, but if you don't have a partner, please show up anyway, you might find another lonely sole, who has not heard of RSVP.  We had a few people both on Wednesday and Thursday who showed up at the last minute.

Thank you very much for attending our game in North Hampton!

Wednesday June 24, 2026

We had 10 full tables on a gorgeous sunny afternoon for our Charity event.  You all played well and only a handful of easy director calls.  Today we were surprised by a group of children with a piano that stayed on the floor until 10:45.  Apparently they have rented the room until 10:45 and will do so for the foreseeable future on Wednesdays and Thursdays.  Perhaps we should start all our games at 12 Noon so that we can  set up the room and not interfer with their lessons and vice versa.

The top scorers NS were no surprise Larry and Vince followed by Linda and Pat, and then followed by Leslie and Claire

The top scorers EW and overall were the Lapierre brothers (63%) followed by Cliff and Carl.

We had 2 C ranked partnerships earn some points In NS Paul and Jack,  and in EW  Collette and Toni.

Thank you for coming.

The game will be run by either Carl or Skip Next week. but I am running it again tomorrow.
