Thursday Open Game 30 October 2025

We had a smoothly running full 11 tables today for our RED HOT CHALLENGE awarding 25% red points.  Look at this - Andi and Liz took first place EW!  They told me they are available to give lessons!  Connie/Roger overtook the Connors for first place overall during the last round.  Pat/Marie, Ed/Jim and Carole/Darrell also took points in the C strat.

Someone took the wrong black jacket home tonight.  Sandy will be bringing it to the tournament this weekend in case you are there.

Wednesday Open Game 29 October 2025

We had a very nice 10 table Mitchell for our Club Appreciation game today.  Larry/Vinnie took the honors and were running over 70% for a lot of the day. First place EW was Dave/Bob.  Barbara/Lisa and Ron/Chris were first place in the C strat. Judy/Carolyn and Nancy/John were first place in the C strat.

 Tuesday 28 October 2025

We had a lesson on 1430 Roman Key Card today.  Next week we will have the final Carl lesson of 2025 and it will be on Gerber Ace Asking.

We had 4 full tables in our pupil game. The winners today were Martha and Sue with 59.56%!  Second place went to Kate and Connie with 58.94%.  Pam Robinson helped with running the game and answering student questions.  She will be running the game starting November 11.  Be kind and respectful please.  Thanks Pam!

We had a very nice 11 table Mitchell movement today.  Congratulations to Susan/Nancy and Cliff/Skip for the first place finishes today. Linda/Nancy, Pat/Marie Darrell/Brent and Paul/Barbara did great finishing in the C strat.

Congratulations today to Joe Watts and his birthday cake.

 Wednesday Open Game 22October 2025

We had 4 very good teams playing EW today and they took 3 of the top 4 places. Congratulations to Chris/Ron and Claire/Rita with their tie for first place in the C strat.

 We had our first lesson on ace asking today about Blackwood.  Next week we will discuss 1430 Roman Key Card (RKC) and my last lesson of the year on November 4 will be about Gerber.  Pam Robinson will be giving the beginner lessons starting November 11.

 We had 5 full tables in our pupil game. Sue and Martha were the winners with 61.11%.  Second place went to Jane G. and Susan S. with 57.64%.

WE had 9-1/2 tables today.  Congratulations to B strat players Linda/Bill for the first place overall finish.  C strat players Brent/Darrell won first E/W.  Linda/Nancy and Joe/James also won points in C strat,

 Wednesday Open 15 October 2025

We had a very nice 10-1/2 table Club Appreciation game today. Carl/Cliff had a very nice game for first place E/W.  Leslie/Carole were first N/S.  Ron/Chris had the best C strat finish. Other C strat finishers included Jackie/Michael, Ron/Chris and Peter/David.

There was an error on board 7 which I just corrected. This swapped the 2nd and 3rd place EW finishers.

 Tuesday October 14, 2025

Today we did a lesson on strong 2 club openings  and responses. Next week we will have a lesson on ace asking with Blackwood and 1430.

We had four full tables in our pupil game today. The winners were Dianne and Melissa with 57.39 % and tied for  second place were the Kingsburys  and Wynne and Betty with 56.80% ! We enjoyed the filming even though the heat was off. See you next week...Carl

 

 Thursday Open STAC 9 October 2025

We had 12-1/2 tables for our Royal STAC game today which pays an equal amount of points - black, silver, red and gold.  Nancy Baron and Pierce came in first place along with the Desfosses'.  Top C strat winners were Donna/Peter, Linda/Bill, Ellen/Nancy and Deanna/Gordon.

 Wednesday Open sTac Game 8 October 2025

Today we had 10 full tables for our Royal STAC game which awards 25% black, silver, red and gold points. The /Claire and Nancy/Dave for the first place finishes. you receive from ACBL can still be upgraded once your results are compared with other players throughout New England who played this morning. 

Congratulations to Pam/Claire and Nancy/Dave for the first place finishes.  Nancy/John and the Shearmires were first place in the C strats.  

We have another Royal STAC tomorrow!

 Tuesday October 7 2025

We had a lesson on competitive bidding today, including what to do when opponents overcall.

Next week we will go over the 2 club open and responses.

We had 4 full tables today including the playing director.  The winners were Melissa Vokey and Jean Lanham with 58%.  Second place went to Jane Greenslit and Susan Scott with 55.83%.
